ABOUT LONE SOLE

Lone Sole, I mean it already sounds pretty lonely doesn’t it.
Well that's the idea, to try and embrace feeling lonely and then realise it's something Lone Sole can try and help with.

So yes, I am just one person. I’m hoping you’ve read the About Me section so you know a little bit of my own loneliness and what pushed me to form Lone Sole.

Over the last year I have had to accept that I have felt very lonely, but I also now appreciate that it’s not a negative or bad feeling. I also accept that I can’t meet that feeling with comfort eating, online shopping, scrolling through social media or getting extremely invested in TV series.

So instead of staying in and trying to occupy myself in different ways, I decided to put my thinking cap on and put myself out there in creating Lone Sole. The aim is to bring people together and have a laugh. Whether that be going for a walk along the beach, exploring museums, going to the cinema or just a couple of drinks at the pub.

How many people do you know, yourself included, that would do one of those things alone? This is just me assuming the answer to that, but I guess not very many. I luckily have the confidence to go to cinemas, museums, pubs and even countries alone, yet for some reason I wouldn't dare to go to Yorkshire Wildlife Park alone.

What if we didn’t have to do those things alone, what if there was a community of people who respected each other that could do those things together.

It may be that you’re single, married, in a relationship, in an open relationship, separated, a widow, a widower, a mum, a dad or a mum and a dad. Or it could be that you’ve had to move in with parents, or you live by yourself, or you live with someone else that has plans and you don’t. What I’m trying to get at is that Lone Sole is for anyone who wants to be involved in a community that respects each other.

Some people may find it hard to see what I'm trying to achieve with Lone Sole when there are so many other mental health websites or companies to turn to when struggling with your mental health. Those other companies which are amazing for supporting you and can really help in times of need, I’m trying to at least help and prevent the dark days feeling so dark by spending time with other people and getting out of the house if you can.

I hope you understand what I’m trying to achieve, if you’re unsure please get in touch.

Please share the Lone Sole brand as you never know who may benefit from this.
